P100E Frequently Asked Questions
 
1.Q: The computer can’t detect the P100E Card when I use it.
A: First, please make sure the P100E Card is inserted into the PCMCIA slot of the portable computer properly, and install the administrative software properly. If your computer can’t detect the card either, the PCMCIA slot or the linker of the card may be broken.
 
2.Q: Why it failed to connect to the internet when I use the P100E Card?
A: The reason may be: the SIM card or antenna is not inserted properly; beyond the EDGE, GPRS or GSM service area; the SIM card is broken or invalid; the signal of the network is weak.
 
3.Q: Why it can’t browse the pages though the administrative software of P100E shows the network has been connected?
A: If your operating system is WIN2000/XP, please check your setup of DNS. Don’t choose the option “register this link address in DNS”; Check if you use the proxy server to get online; the incorrect setup of the firewall also will course it.
 
4.Q: What should I do when my SIM card has been locked?
A: Please contact the supplier of your network.
 
5.Q: Why can’t I use the service of voice calling?
A: Please check whether you have already set the “calling restriction” service; whether there is enough money left for the service in SIM card; and the SIM card of some operators don’t supply the voice calling service.
 
6.Q: I can enjoy the service of voice calling with the SIM card, but can’t use the “multidirectional calling”, why?
A: Please contact your operator to open the multidirectional calling service.
 
7. Q: Why can’t I use the SMS service?
A: Please check the number of the SMS center whether correct or not. If there’s any question, please contact the operator of your network.
 
8. Q: I can’t receive new SMS or add new number to the telephone book.
A: The memory space of the SIM card is full. Please delete the superfluous telephone number or SMS.
 
9. Q: Why can’t I enjoy the CSD service?
A: The service is not opened in your SIM card, or the setup of CSD is incorrect.
 
10.Q: The class collision happened when installing the P100E administrative software, please tell me why.
A: Please click the option “my computer”> “function” >“hardware”> “manager of the equipment” with the right key, and check whether there is a class collision.
 
11.Q: When I click the option “connecting network” with P100E administrative software, the option “state” always shows “opening port” can’t connect.
A: Please click the option “function” under “network neighborhood” to find “SKYWAKER” with the right key; then click “option” also with the right key and choose “Generic Edge Modem” to connect.
